Gilded Skylight, Notting Hill Gate

Commissioned by the client to gild an existing roof skylight, this project involved applying gold leaf to the internal splayed reveals of the light well. The finish transforms the shaft into a reflective surface that catches and diffuses daylight, casting a warm glow down into the stairwell throughout the day — from soft golden light under cloud cover to a richer, more saturated glow in direct sun.
