Hand-Painted Stair Runner, Notting Hill

This Notting Hill staircase was prepared and refinished with a hand-painted runner running continuously across the treads, risers and turning steps. The vivid red centre was carefully measured against the surrounding grey finish, with the width and curves adjusted to follow the staircase naturally. Crisp edges, consistent proportions and careful work around the balustrade create the visual effect of a fitted runner while retaining a fully painted, durable surface.
